Right now there are men facing a terminal diagnosis, caring for a loved one at the end of their life, or grieving the loss of a family member. North Devon Hospice can help men with their mental health at every stage of this journey, but only with your help. No one should have to face this alone. You will march 11-miles in solidarity - in your free Rugby Ramble t-shirt - on the Tarka Trail between Barnstaple and Bideford Rugby Clubs (a shorter route is also available). You’ll get a delicious hot pasty to set you on your way, a pint at the midway point to keep you going plus a final pint at the finish line.
Then settle in to watch the crunch England vs Ireland game, potentially THE deciding game of the Six Nations, in the best atmosphere anywhere in North Devon. The whole day gives you a chance for a chat and a pint with new mates and old. All of this for just £20, but ONLY if you sign up before 9th December.

Rugby Ramble is a 11-mile sponsored walk along the scenic Tarka Trail from either Bideford Rugby Club to Barnstaple Rugby Club or from Barnstaple Rugby Club to Bideford Rugby Club (There is a shorter 4-mile option available, from Fremington Quay to Barnstaple Rugby Club).
You'll get a free hot pasty to get you going. Don't worry if you think the walk sounds like thirsty work, we've got your back! You'll enjoy a beer stop on the route and be treated to a free pint. Then, at the finish line, you'll get another free pint (to make sure you're fully rehydrated!).
Once at the clubhouse, there'll be delicious hot food available to buy, before you settle in and watch England v Ireland in the Six Nations at 5.00pm. There are also a whole load of treats planned on the route and back at the clubhouses, so this will be a top day out for you and your mates.
Best of all, by taking part, you'll be supporting local men when they need it most. Help men who are facing an illness like cancer, or who are losing someone they love, to access the emotional support they need.
The event is open to all over 18 years of age.
Your registration fee only covers the cost of staging such a large-scale event. With your entry, you get 2x free pints, a pasty at the start, and your Rugby Ramble T-shirt to wear with pride.
We then ask that you raise or donate a minimum of £38 in sponsorship. This is enough to provide a one-to-one counselling session to a local guy who is facing an illness like cancer, or facing the loss of a loved one.
Please note that this year we have a choice of two start points for the main 11-mile route. Please choose either to start from either Bideford or Barnstaple Rugby Club (or choose the shorter 4-mile alternative from Fremington Quay to Barnstaple Rugby Club.

Among so much other vital care, the hospice helps people's mental health when they are facing a life-limiting illness or the loss of a loved one. We need your support to help more men access this vital emotional support.

Rugby Ramble is a sponsored event, where all funds raised by you will help local men get mental health support from the hospice, when they're facing an illness like cancer or the loss of a loved one.
There is a suggested minimum target of £38. This is enough for the hospice to provide a one-to-one counselling session to a local guy in his time of need. You can choose how you achieve this; either by raising sponsorship from family and friends, doing some fundraising (like a raffle at work), or simply making a donation yourself when registering.
We are sure it will be easy to hit your target because once you register we'll send you handy hints and tips to help you smash it. Here are just a few easy ways in which you can hit your target:
1) The easiest thing is to set up a JustGiving page. Share this with your friends, family and colleagues via email and social media, and watch the donations pour in.
2) Hold a small fundraising event, such as a raffle at work or a quiz at the pub. This is an easy way to raise money if you feel you can't ask people for sponsorship (here are some fundraising tips to help you out too!)
